Ganbara Hostel, in the very heart of the old town.

ganbara-14

Ganbara Hostel is the most centrally located hostel in Bilbao, it is in the very heart of the old town also known as the Seven Streets or Casco Viejo. Because of its central location it is well connected with all the points of interest you might like as a traveler.

About 50 meters away we have a metro stop that will take you anywhere; even so our situation is so privileged that it won’t take you any time to walk to the most interesting places in the city.

The tram is also a good choice, the two nearest stops are La Ribera and Arriaga. This means of transport is ideal to see the most modern part of Bilbao, Abandoibarra, where The Guggenheim Museum is located, also The Isozaki Towers, The Iberdrola Tower, the Zubi-Zuri Bridge, The University of Deusto etc.

How to get to us:

– From the airport (Loiu): Take Bizkaibus A3247 opposite the arrivals gate and get off at Termibus, the central bus station of Bilbao. From there take the metro to the old town and get off at Plaza Unamuno.  Prim Street is on the left side of the square. As soon as you turn the first corner you’ll see us (Calle Prim 11).

– From the bus station (Termibus): Take the metro to the old town and get off at Plaza Unamuno. Prim Street is on the left side of the square. As soon as you turn the first corner you’ll see us (Calle Prim 11).

– From the train station (Abando): If you don’t want to walk or your backpack weighs alot, you can take the metro which is within the same station and get off at Unamuno Square. If you can, we encourage you to take a walk because the station is very close to the old town. You just have to walk down the street and cross the bridge Navarra El Arenal. To your left you will see the church of St. Nicholas, after which the street turns into Calle Askao. Along that street to the right you get to the Plaza Unamuno.
